Ensemble Audition Information

We are SO excited to have you join our program! Here are a few quick notes!

Students that would like to participate in the Marching Band, and Indoor Percussion need to participate in the curricular ensemble, with exceptions for Color Guard.

We offer 3 levels of Jazz Band, 2 Levels of Concert Band, and 2 Levels of Orchestra.

When registering you will only see Concert Band, Jazz 1, and String Orchestra. Please register for the type of ensemble (Band, Jazz or Orchestra) that you want to be involved in and Mr Allenson will place you in that class!

You only need to turn in an audition recording if you want to participate in the advanced orchestra, band or all of the jazz bands.

Students participating in Jazz need to also participate in a concert ensemble, with exceptions for the rhythm section.

Indoor Percussion

HIP is a program that rehearses during the winter, consiting of percussion insturments with our front ensemble and battery. A place to grow togehter as a community and create life long friendships.

Winter Guard

The HHS Winter guard is constructed of flags, rifles, dance and props, mebers using their skills to create a story on the floor. A place to perform and create loads of new friends.
